S.F.F. Launches

Yesterday was a very special day for America, the day we honor our veterans. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I have been wanting to set up this project for a while for many reasons. I just want to touch on a few things about the rollout of these brushes to clarify some questions and comments that I have received by several folks. Of utmost importance is of course the cause for which the project is named, but I thought it would be good to go over a few details for the sake of being thorough and to avoid any misunderstandings.

FIrstly, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these brushes will go directly to the Semper Fi Fund, which I mentioned on my blog post from 10/28 and has been unedited since posting.

In addition, I was not able to set up any sort of auction due to time constraints. Regardless, I actually think auctions might not be the best way to go about this for a variety of reasons, all of which are personal decisions, based on the way I run my shop and how much I can manage to do. I want this project to have an ongoing and steady progress, and I think listing them on the site is the best way for me to do that. My goal with this project is to continue to fulfill my commitment to support our troops and to do something for a cause to which I am deeply compelled. But, despite how much attention auctions create, this project needs to be something I can manage so for now I am keeping it simple and hope it will raise awareness this way. I am not closing the door on doing an auction in the future, but likely will not be doing them on a regular basis.

The Cambria will be part of the regular line-up and will finally slot in nicely. I have had this design since the beginning but never found a way to introduce it and quite frankly, was not sure if I was going to keep it at 73mm tall. Nevertheless, it is here and it is uncompromising in it’s stature, and I am not one to shy away from polarizing design choices so I am proud to feature it. It is the ultimate Sunday morning brush.

That is all for now and thanks to all for reading.
